Obituary

Normand A. Bombardier, of Warren for over 40 years, a former USDA Quarantine Officer, passed away Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010 at home. He was the beloved husband of Marlene (Rezendes) Bombardier, whom he was married to for 39 years. Born in Attleboro, MA, the son of the late Clifford and Imelda (Gaudreau) Bombardier. Before moving to Warren Normand had lived in Pawtucket, RI.

As an employee of the USDA for over 32 years, Normand had worked for Veterinary Services before retiring in 1983. He was a communicant of St. Dominic’s Parish, Swansea, MA where he served as an Usher for over 40 years, and he also served as a Lecturer and a Eucharistic Minister. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II, and a graduate of the University of Rhode Island. He also attended Michigan State University.

His wife of Warren and two nephews of California survive him. He was also the brother of the late Raymond Bombardier

His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Fall River, MONDAY at 10:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Dominic’s Church, Swansea at 11:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Rte 138, Somerset, MA. Calling hours SUNDAY 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Charity of your choice.
