Obituary

McElaney, Virginia E. (Rosati) of Quincy originally from Dorchester, died suddenly on Monday, August 16, 2010. The beloved wife of the late Charles McElaney. Loving mother of Michael McElaney and his wife Ruth of Maine and Edward McElaney and his wife Darlene of Quincy. Cherished sister of Rocco Rosati of Dorchester, Pasquale of South Boston, Richard of Abington, Michael of South Grafton, Anthony of Wakefield and the late Frank Rosati. Devoted grandmother of Michael, Charles-Louis and Nicholas McElaney. Dearest friend of Virginia Butler of Saugus, and her longtime childhood friend Mrs. Carrie Padula of Woodstock, CT. Virginia is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A long time Quincy resident, Virginia enjoyed cooking, the Red Sox, she enjoyed following all the other New England sports teams.


Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Sunday 2 - 6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Monday, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann's Church at 10 AM.

Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
