TEWKSBURY: Helen M. (Weston) Sager, age 85, died Sunday, November 23, 2003 at the Blaire House in Tewksbury.
She was the wife of Earl Sager who died April 20, 1989.
Born in South Boston on March 6, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin D. and Helene M. (Fricke) Weston. Mrs. Sager was raised in South Boston. She attended South Boston schools and graduated from South Boston High School.
She lived in Tewksbury since 1950.
Mrs. Sager was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tewksbury, and a member of the Church’s Philatheas Group.
Prior to her retirement in 1983, she was employed as an executive secretary by the Raytheon Corporation in Lowell and Andover.
Mrs. Sager was a member of the Hannah Dustin Quilters Club.
She enjoyed traveling especially to Europe and the Caribbean.
She is survived by 1 daughter; Helene R. Stahley and her husband Charles J. III of Atkinson, NH; 3 sons; Stephen E. Sager and his wife Susan (Dayuotas) of Tewksbury, Paul R. Sager and his wife Susan (Bencuya) of Franklin and Garry W. Sager and his wife Pamela (Nichols) of Ashburnham; 8 grandchildren; Jennifer G. Sager and Valerie L. Sager, Jennifer Roy, Attorney Daniel Pierce, Rachel E., Benjamin D., Nathaniel E. and Zachary N. Sager; 3 great grandchildren; Olivia L. Pierce, Madison L. and Christopher Roy.
Calling hours Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the FARMER & DEE FUNERAL HOME, 16 LEE ST., TEWKSBURY. Funeral services Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 1500 Andover St., Rte. 133, Tewksbury. Burial at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church of Tewksbury, 1500 Andover St., Tewksbury, MA 01876 would be appreciated.
