Mr. Francis X. McGowan, Jr., 59, of Tewksbury, MA., formerly of Lawrence, MA., passed away on Tuesday, August 17th, 2010 at the Saints Medical Center in Lowell, MA.
He was born on November 23rd, 1950 in Methuen, Massachusetts to Mary E. (O'Neill) McGowan and the late Francis X. McGowan, Sr.. Francis was educated in the Assumption Grammar School and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, both in Lawrence, MA. He later attended Saint Anselm's College and Northern Essex College.
Francis was an attendant of Saint Mary's Church in Lawrence and also worked for the City of Lawrence.
He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed the Red Sox and the Celtics.

His funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 20th, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Mary's Church in Lawrence, MA.
Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
