Obituary

Don P. “DP” Perry, 74 years, of Brockton, formerly of Boston, died peacefully August 13, 2010 at St. Joseph Manor. Born in Huntington West Virginia, he was the son of the late Wilbur L. and Rosa E. (Lewis) Clements. He was a graduate of Douglas High School and following his graduation he entered the Navy and served during Vietnam. Upon his discharge from the Navy he moved to Massachusetts and was employed by Texaco for 12 years and retired from the Boston Gas Company after 33 years. Don was an outgoing person who loved his children and grandchildren, was an avid sports fan, enjoyed listening to sports talk radio and cars.

He is survived by his children Telina Perry of Brockton, Ra-shad Perry and Phillip Cherrie both of Boston; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers Adrian and Wilbur Clements, three sisters Linda Payton, Esther May Wheeler and Joyce Turner and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jimmy and Juan Clements.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday August 25, from 10-11am with a Funeral Service at 11am. Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1pm.
