Rita Couture, 88, of Manchester, died August 17, 2010 at Maple Leaf Health Care Center after a period of declining health.
She was born in St. Adrien, Quebec November 21, 1921 to Joseph and Alphonsine (Champoux) Gauthier. She lived most of her life in Manchester.
Mrs. Couture worked for MKM for 10 years, Pandora for 10 years and at American Velcro for 10 years.
She had been a member of the former St. Therese Church for many years and was currently a member of Blessed Sacrament Church.
She was married to Leonidas Couture who died in 1988.
Family members include three children, Jean Couture, Guy Couture and Solange Binette all of Manchester; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; nieces and nephews.
Burial was in St. Augustin Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester was in charge of arrangements.
