Worcester - Diane E. (Gori) Huikku passed away on August 15, 2010 after an illness at UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus on Lake Ave.
Diane leaves her husband of 41 years, Paul R. Huikku; 3 daughters, Dawn M. and husband Michael D. Horne of Hubbardston, Roselyn A. Harrison and her partner Gerry Vezina of Hubbardston, and Robin L. Huikku of Worcester. She also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Brian, Kaitlyn, and Skylar as well as one sister, Connie Alger, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Mario and Louise (Barton) Gori and her sister, Dorothy Bronson.
Diane was born in Boston, MA and graduated from Doherty Memorial High School in Worcester. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed traveling to Foxwoods Casino. She loved spending time with her family.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday, August 20, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 20th from 1:00-3:00 p.m. in the funeral home. A private burial will be in All Faiths Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 9 Erie Drive, Natick, MA 01760.
