Eleanor A. “Elly” DiNardo, 85, of Bedford died August 16, 2010 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon after a period of declining health.
She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on April 7, 1925 to John and Helen (Buddy) Kosko. She attended the University of Pittsburgh where she met her husband.
She lived in Scituate, MA many years and retired to York Harbor, ME before moving to Bedford in the late 1990’s.
Mrs. DiNardo was a devout catholic and her family was very important to her. She had a strong sense of style and enjoyed cooking. She was an avid supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project.
IN HER LIFE: The family includes her husband of 63 years, Anthony DiNardo of Bedford; four children, Donna Boyt of Portsmouth, Mark DiNardo of Glen Rock, NJ, Jan McCarron of Bedford and Nan MacKenzie of Hanover, MA; nine grandchildren and a great granddaughter, Mia, who was the light of her life.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
