Obituary

Windham, New Hampshire – Adeline L. (Parolisi) (Bolcavitch) Gallant passed away on Sunday Aug. 15, 2010 at Parkland Medical Center after being stricken suddenly at home.
Adeline was born in Lawrence the daughter of Cosimo and Assunta (Pompei) Parolisi. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School and also attended Merrimack College.
For 27 years she had been employed with the Internal Revenue Service Center in Andover, Ma. In Personnel. She volunteered for the Red Cross Blood Drive in the Andover Service Center and was on the Board for the Andover Service Center Retirement Association.
Adeline spent most winters in Florida where her and Pete occasionally played golf and enjoyed playing cards with their friends. She was an avid reader, loved arts and crafts, knitting and enjoyed taking pictures and sending computer made cards for all occasions to her family and friends. In her earlier days she was an avid tennis player, winning many trophies. She will be sadly missed by her family whom she simply adored and loved.
Adeline is survived and will be deeply missed by her husband and best friend Joseph P. (Pete) Gallant, her children son Richard Bolcavitch of Andover, twin daughters Joan (Bolcavitch) Rigby and her husband Robert of Windham, NH, Jane (Bolcavitch) Porada and husband Tom of Salem, NH.
Four grandchildren, Michael Burke and wife Joanne, of Tewksbury, Ma., Erin Murphy and her husband Chris of Gloucester, Ma., and Kentucky, Robert Rigby of Boston, Ma., and Justin Rigby and his fiancé Ashley Wilson of Hampton, NH, three greatgrandchildren Colleen and Calli Burke, and Caitlin Murphy.
Brothers Steve Parolisi and his wife Mary of Methuen, Edward Parolisi and his wife Virginia of Methuen, sister Josephine Palermo of Andover and sister-in-law Lydia Parolisi of Tewksbury.
She is also survived by her stepchildren Sharon Welch of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Michael Gallant and his wife Priscilla of New Port Richey, Florida, Kevin Gallant and his wife Mary of Methuen, Mark Gallant and his wife Eileen of Shrewsbury, Ma., Cynthia Buffum and her husband John of Bradford, Ann Marie Jardine of Bradford, June Dinsmore and her husband Barry of Bradford, Ma.13 step-grandchildren and 9 step-greatgrandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday morning at 10 o’clock in Saint Lucys Church in Methuen with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery also of Methuen.
Friends will be warmly received on Wednesday from 4-8 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
