TAUNTON - Jose M. Lima, husband of Maria F. (Oliveira) Lima of Taunton, died at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston on Aug. 14, 2010.
He was 63.
Born, raised, and educated in Portugal, the son of the late Edmundo and Alzira (Pimental) Lima, he moved to the U.S. in 1973.
Mr. Lima was employed by Cumberland Foundry of Rhode Island for over 24 years.
He enjoyed coin collecting and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Besides his wife of 38 years, he leaves a son, Michael Lima and his wife Jennifer of Sturbridge; two daughters, Elizabeth O. Lima and her husband Mario Carmo of Taunton, and Helena M. Harris and her husband Jeffrey of Smithfield, RI; two brothers, Ernesto and Breno Lima, both of Fall River; a sister, Natalia Aguiar and her husband Duarte of Taunton; four grandchildren, Hayden, Trista and Marshall Harris, and Nicholas Carmo; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Bento, Edmundo and Henrique Lima.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Wednesday, Aug. 18th at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of the Lord Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday Aug. 17th from 5 to 8 p.m.
