DAVIES - Annie “Lou” Davies, 75, passed away Saturday morning, August 14, 2010 at her Nassauville residence. She was born in Camden County, GA and moved to Fernandina Beach as a child and spent most of her life in the Fernandina Beach area. She attended the Oasis Christian Center and Latierra Pro Metiar and was a greeter at the Yulee area Wal-Mart Superstore for the past six years. Mrs. Davies had a great sense of humor and made everyone laugh. She loved working at Wal-Mart and greeting people and was an Atlanta Braves baseball fan. She enjoyed going to spring training games. Mrs. Davies was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Robert Donald Davies; and two sons, William Brantley Davies and Robert Donald Davies, II. Survivors include a son, Earnest Davies (Diane) of Cocoa, FL; two daughters, Donna McDaniel (Robert William) of Titusville, FL and Vicki L. Guest (Jason) of Nassauville, FL; a brother A. B. Douglas (Barbara), also of Nassauville; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 21 at Latierra Pro Metiar (that's the old First Baptist Building located at 416 Alachua St. in Fernandina). Interment will follow in Bosque Bello Cemetery. The family will recieve friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Green Pine Funeral Home.
