Mrs. Reba B. Roberts, 91, of Ocilla, died Saturday, August 14, 2010 at the Osceola Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be held 2 P.M., Monday, August 16, at the Old Valley Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Irwin County, Georgia with Harry Mixon giving the eulogy. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Roberts was born January 12, 1919 in Laurens County, Georgia to the late William J. and Annie Phillips Bates and had lived in Irwin County most of her life. She retired as a Nurses Aid from Irwin County Hospital with 37 years of service. Mrs. Robert was an avid supporter of the Irwin County Indians and was a member of Old Valley Grove Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law: Billy & Bonnie Roberts of Ocilla, daughters and sons-in-laws; Betty & Joe Hawes, Brenda R. Powell, and Anne & Larry Day all of Ocilla; seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Eston Roberts, one brother and one sister.
