Obituary

Louis C. Bryant age 87of Canton passed away at home surrounded by his loving family August 13th. Born in Canton, he was raised in Sharon, graduated from Sharon High School and lived most of his life in Canton. He was an Army Veteran of WW II and worked for the Canton Public Schools for over 20 years as a carpenter and in maintenance. He was an avid gardener and was known in the Town of Canton for his beautiful yard and seasonal holiday displays. The Patriot Ledger on a few occasions featured pictures of his yard during the holidays. He also played the guitar for the band known as Juke Box 4. They performed at Minstrel Shows at the Canton Town Hall and at several other venues in the area. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, travelling to Maine, woodworking and carving and making furniture. Beloved husband of Jeannette M. (Fisher). Father of Jeannette O’Brien Surprenant of Norton, Louis C. Jr. of Pocasset, Edward W. of Amesbury, Susan Bryant Hayes of Marshfield, Gary J. of N.C. & Mark C. of Plymouth. Also survived by 15 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Monday 4-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Tuesday morning at 10:00. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Army Veteran WW II.
