Sara E. (Morgan) Symons, 67, of Whitman, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday August 11th at her home. She was the beloved wife of 46 years to Robert E. Symons.
Sara was born and raised in Whitman, a daughter of the late Arthur and Madeline (Frasier) Morgan.
She has been a longtime resident of Whitman and a graduate of Whitman High School Class of 1960. Sara was a lifetime member of the All Saints Episcopal Church in Whitman. She worked as a teacher’s aide at the Duval School, where she enjoyed working with all the children especially the kindergarteners.
Her favorite pastime was watching the Red Sox, Patriots and spending time with family and playing with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 46 years, Robert, she is survived by her son Robert Symons, Jr. and his wife Donna, her 2 daughters Karen Visser and Ann Marie O’Neil and her husband Frank, her grandchildren Eric, Sarah, Mark, Matthew and Christopher, her brother Ernest Morgan; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her services will be held Monday August 16th at 9:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman, MA. Her visitation will be on Sunday, August 15th from 2:00-6:00PM. Donations may be made in her name, to the Hospice of the South Shore, 100 Baystate Dr. Braintree, MA 02184.
