Mr. Billy Joe Pruitt, age 68, of Walnut-Cove passed away on Monday, August 9, 2010 at his home. Mr. Pruitt was born in Stokes County on March 12, 1942 to the late Ranzy and Mary Cambell Pruitt. Mr. Pruitt worked as a farmer and was of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Pruitt is survived by one brother, Bobby Elzie Pruitt of Walnut-Cove; three sisters, Carol Mae Pruitt of Walnut-Cove, Lynn E. Duggins of Winston-Salem, and Linda Collins of Walnut-Cove. Mr. Pruitt was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Junior Cambell; and one sister, Doris Linville Pruitt.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Cox-Needham Chapel in Danbury at 11:00 AM with Rev. Danny Smith officiating. The family will have a private burial at Isom Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date. The Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM one hour prior to the service.
