Arthur Thomas Boden Jr., age 81, died Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Ethel (Dougherty) and Arthur T. Boden Sr.
In 1954, he began his career teaching music as the music Director in North Adams, MA. In 1961 he took up the baton as music Director in Medway, MA, where he retired in 1980. Arthur was known best for teaching not only music performance and theory, but also teaching life lessons to his students.
Called "Whitey" by family and friends, Arthur was a ranked tennis player in New England and played a good game of golf. Arthur was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Methuen, MA.
He is survived by sister, Helene Bird, and many grateful cousins, nieces and nephews. Brother, Uncle, Friend and Teacher; all who knew him will miss him very much.
A Memorial service will be held Fri., August 13th at 11 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 39 Hill Street, Methuen, MA. There are no calling hours.
