Mr. Omer C. Hensley, Jr.
Augusta, GA – Mr. Omer Clark Hensley, Jr., age 76 beloved husband of the late Patricia Baker Hensley lost his courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Trinity Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 13, 2010 at The Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Ruffin and Dr. Kenneth Word officiating. Interment to follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Mr. Hensley was a proud member of The Hill Baptist Church for over 63 years. He served as a deacon, choir member, Sunday School director and various other leadership roles with the church. Mr. Hensley will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Hensley is survived by his son, Steve Hensley and wife Rhonda of Dublin, GA; his three daughters, Patsy Noegel and husband Bobby of Macon, GA, Amy Huff and husband Bobby of Augusta, and Mary Lawrence and husband Keith of Martinez, GA; his sister, Connie Heos of North Augusta; his eight grandchildren, Bryant Scott, Jennifer Huff, Robert Huff, Ashley Johnson, Alex Hensley, Michael Hensley, Sarah Lawrence, and Will Lawrence; and his five great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all of Mr. Hensley’s friends and neighbors especially Maria Nicholson.
Pallbearers will be Edward Stalnaker, Eugene Cook, Jimmy Mills, Wilson Folk, Billy Noegel, and Jim Youngblood.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, August 12, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
