Gracinda (George) Sousa, 95, a resident of Randolph, died at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Monday, August 9. She was the wife of the late Jose Sousa. Born and raised in Turquel, Portugal, she came to the U.S. in 1969 and lived in Cambridge and Somerville for 29 years. She resided in Randolph for the last 14 years. Mrs. Sousa was a homemaker. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mrs. Sousa is survived by her children, Manuel Sousa and his wife Maria and Adrian Sousa and his wife Teresa all of Portugal, Maria Arruda and her husband Milton and Virginia Bettencourt and her husband Carlos all of Randolph, Otilia Sousa of Somerville and Joseph Sousa and his wife Lynda of Reading. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, 1 sister and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, August 12 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Randolph.
