PACE, Richard of Dedham surrounded by his loving family, passed peacefully after an arduous battle with cancer on Aug. 8, 2010. Richard was the son of the late Rosario and Josephine Pace of Newton.
He was the cherished husband of Marie (Clifford) Pace of Dedham. His devoted children and spouses are Michael and Susan Pace of Norwood, Caroline and Gregory Morse of Scituate, and Allison Pace and Sachin Shah of Jamaica Plain.
Richard leaves 2 grandchildren Domenic Pace and Zoe Morse. Loving brother of Larry and Liz Pace of Bellingham. Caring uncle to many nieces and nephews. Additionally, he is survived by his mother-in-law Dorothy Clifford of West Roxbury, and many close friends and family.
Mr. Pace was a decorated DAV receiving Silver and Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart for his duty in Vietnam. Late employee of General Dynamics Corporation, Taunton, MA.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St. Dedham, on Wed. at 9AM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham at 10AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4-8PM. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers donations in Richard’s memory may be made to the Dedham Food Pantry, OxFam America, or the American Cancer Society.
