MacAskill, Patricia Aloysius, of West Roxbury, MA, was born to Edward Raftus and Mary “Molly” (Kilroy) in Boston, MA, on June 5, 1924. She attended Notre Dame Academy, received a Bachelor’s degree from Emmanuel College and earned a Masters degree from Boston University. She married Angus MacAskill in 1960 and they were together for 48 years until his death last year. She worked for more than 35 years as an administrator at the Soldier’s Home in Chelsea, MA. Actively involved in the community, Patricia served as a board member of the Massachusetts Organization of State Engineers and Scientists for 10 years and as secretary for the MOSES Credit Union for 25 years. She was a member and treasurer of the Proparvulis Club of Boston, a Catholic children’s charity, for 35 years. She is survived by a niece, nephews, cousins and many dear friends in the Boston area.
Funeral from the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury on Thursday August 12, at 9:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in The Holy Name Church at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours in the funeral home on Thursday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 AM.
Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA at 12:30 PM.
