WORCESTER-Eloise T. (Tyler) Butterfield, 96 of 1183 Main Street, formerly of Paxton died Friday January 25th in the Washburn House. Her husband of 25 years M. Morton Butterfield died in 1976. She leaves a nephew Bob Price of West Boylston and a niece Gail Kimball of Paxton, and several grand nephews and grand nieces. Her brother Harry Tyler and her sister Helen Price both predeceased her.
She was born in New York City the daughter of Oliver P. and Lillian (Lowell) Tyler and had lived in Worcester for many years before moving to Paxton. Mrs. Butterfield was a graduate of North High School, and had been employed for 25 years at the former State Mutual Insurance Company. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Paxton, a lifetime member of the Paxton Woman’s Club and the Paxton Council on Aging. Mrs. Butterfield enjoyed gardening and sewing.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday January 29th in O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, the Rev. Donald Whitcomb will officiate. Burial will be in Coldbrook Cemetery in the Coldbrook section of Barre. There are no calling hours.
