Worcester – Frederick J. Ryan, 71, of Worcester went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the love of his life Mary on Tuesday, August 3rd.
His loving wife of 30 years Mary L. (Hulme) Ryan predeceased him in 2007. Mr. Ryan leaves behind two daughters Lynn Ryan West and her husband Tim and Mary E. Ryan all of Worcester; a son Eric J. Ryan and his wife Teresa; three stepchildren Michael P. Lannon and his wife Lori-Ann of Worcester, Marybeth Lannon of Florida and Mark W. Lannon and his wife Gloria of Leicester and eight grandchildren Jessica, Sydney, Jack, Brynna, Cilia, Aidan, William and Lillian.
He was born in Weymouth, MA son of the late Raymond E. and Clara G. (Pratt) Ryan and graduated from Boston College with a bachelor’s degree and later returned to Boston College to earn his master’s degree.
Mr. Ryan worked for many years as a professor for Central New England College and later was the manager of a private resort in St. Croix with his wife Mary. He enjoyed many things throughout his lifetime but was most happy when he was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 9th at 10 AM in Liberty Church 495 Hartford Turnpike Shrewsbury. Private entombment will take place in Notre Dame Mausoleum. Flowers may be sent in Mr. Ryan’s memory or a donation may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. is directing arrangements.
