GLOUCESTER: Harold W. “Harry” Roberts, 66, of 76 Poplar Park died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 28, 2010.
Born in Peabody on February 18, 1944, he was the son of the late Arthur A. and Dorothy M. (Weldon) Roberts. He was a graduate of Peabody High School.
Harry had been employed for many years at several Peabody leather factories. He then became a machinist and worked for Union Carbide in Peabody. After moving to Gloucester, he worked for Strong Leather for many years prior to his retirement.
He is survived a brother and sister-in-law, Arthur W. and Carol Roberts; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Judith Inniss and Joyce and Anthony Trupiano and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Perry. He also leaves many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Mimi, who was adopted by a family member. He was also predeceased by his sister, Mary Ann Perry.
A graveside memorial will be held at a later date. Interment was held privately in the Calvary Cemetery.
