Martha Helen Woodall Dickey, age 90, died Monday, August 2, 2010 in Oxford, MS. She was born February 4, 1920 in Water Valley, MS to the late Jessee Vernon and Elvie Tutor Woodall. Mrs. Dickey was a homemaker and a Room Mother. She loved to garden and kept a beautifully manicured yard. Mrs. Dickey was happily married for 69 years and she loved her family, her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Campground Baptist Church in Water Valley, MS.
The visitation will be on Friday, August 6, 2010 from 12:30 until service time at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. The funeral service will be held in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks at 2 PM on Friday, August 6, 2010 with Bro. David Ross officiating. Burial will take place at Bethel Cemetery with Billy Stark, Jerry Dickey, Billy Moorehead, Rick Carlisle, Jimmy Berry and Barry Raley serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Dickey is survived by one daughter, Mary Catherine Dickey Raley of Bartlett, TN; one brother, Bobby Gene (Geneva) Woodall of El Paso, AR; four grandchildren, Cathy Russell, Deana Maples, Darren Raley and David Dickey, and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond David Dickey in 2007; one son, Charles David Dickey; three sisters, Edna Earle Fox, Doris Ruff and Joann Woodall; two brothers, Malcolm Odell Woodall and Leonard Ira Woodall.
