Obituary

Louise Mary (Lambert) Maffei, of Southboro, passed away at the Stanley R. Tippett House in Needham on July 28, 2010. She was 87 years old & the beloved wife of the late Warren M. Maffei who died in 1999.

Born & raised on her family's farm in Wellesley, Louise was the daughter of the late Antonio & Civita (Cipriani) Lambert. She was educated in the Wellesley Public Schools. She married Warren in 1944 & during WWII they lived on Governor's Island in NY where Louise worked as a courier for the U.S. Army. Upon returning to this area, she settled in Cochituate prior to moving to Southboro in 1958. Louise was employed as a quality inspector at the Bose Corp. in Framingham, retiring in the 1980's. She loved to travel & took great pride in caring for her family.

Louise is survived by 4 loving children, James Maffei of Marion, Anthony Maffei of Southboro, Joyce Nemec & her husband Scott of Framingham, & Lou Ann Maffei-Iwuc & her husband John of Hopkinton. She was lovingly known as "Grammie" to James, Christian, Mei Ling, Emily, & Benjamin; & as "Grandma Louise" to Joseph, Katie, Julianna, Nora, Nathan, Emma, Jack, Jay, & Xavier. Louise is also survived by 2 sisters, Sylvia Ranieri of Wellesley & Pauline Cardarelli of Framingham; her dear friend Louise Franciose of Natick; & many loving nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Margaret Sancomb, Mary Alexander, Jeanette Medaglia, Louis, Charles, Donald, Joseph, & Anthony Lambert.

Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend Louise's funeral from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common) NATICK on Monday, August 2, 2010 at 9:00 AM to be followed by her Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anne's Parish, 20 Boston Rd. Southboro at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery, Southboro. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010 from 3-7 PM.
