Obituary

Harry A. Goldstein, 88, of Winthrop, passed away on August 2, 2010 at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home. Harry was born in Chelsea, and was a resident of Winthrop for many years. He was educated at the Chelsea schools and was a graduate of Chelsea High School. Harry was the retired owner of Louis’ Quality Liquor, on Everett Ave., Chelsea. He was a WWII Army Veteran of the Air Corp. Harry attended the Army Air Corp War College. He was a recipient of the European African Middle East Theater Ribbon, the Italian Campaign Bronze Star, and the Soldiers Medal. Harry was also a life member of the Winthrop Yacht Club.

Harry was the beloved husband of the late Roslyn (Becker) Goldstein. He was the devoted father of Leonard I Goldstein and his wife Susan and the late Morrisa Goldstein. He was the dear brother of Paul Goldstein and his wife Diane. Harry was the loving grandfather of Jeffrey and his wife Melissa, Nathaniel and Daniel. He is also survived by one great grandchild Isabella.

Graveside services at the Tifereth Israel of Everett Cemetery, 232 Fuller St Everett on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 11 am Memorial observance will be held following the interment at the home of Leonard and Susan Goldstein Thursday only. Donations in his memory may be made to The Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Ovarian Cancer Reserach, 10 Brookline Place, West 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445.
