Frank A. Willoughby, 89, formerly of 87 Maple St., West Boylston, Mass., died Monday, November 17th, at the Odd Fellows Home, Worcester, Mass. following an illness.
He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Warren and Viola (Siteman) Willoughby and lived here most of his life.Mr. Willoughby was a graduate of Commerce High School and was a 40-year employee of Norton Company, working in the Abrasives and Central Service Departments. He retired many years ago. He was very active in Masonry, and was a 58-year member of Morning Star Lodge in Worcester, serving as an Officer of the lodge until earlier this year. He was also a member of various Scottish Rite and York Rite Bodies and was a member of the Aleppo Shrine. He received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Grand Master of Masons in Mass. in 2002. He was also affiliated with various Masonic bodies in Maine and with Rose of Sharon Lodge in Charlton, Mass.
His wife, Evelyn (King) Willoughby died in 1986.Mr. Willoughby is survived by his son, Donald C. Willoughby, of Millbury, Mass., three grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He also leaves a brother, Howard Willoughby, of Auburn, Mass., nieces, nephews, and many friends. Three brothers, Grover, Douglas and Herbert predeceased him.
Following cremation, a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 29th, 2003 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Episcopal Church, 10 Irving St., Worcester, Mass. Burial will be private.
