Elizabeth L. (Vincent) Blanchard, 80, of Dartmouth died Sunday August 1, 2010 at home after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Raymond L. "Red" Blanchard.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joseph C. and Margaret (Connors) Vincent, she lived in Dartmouth since 1963.
Mrs. Blanchard loved spending time with her family and her Labrador Retrievers. She enjoyed swimming and going to the beach. She attended the Dartmouth Council on Aging.
She is survived by three sons, Jay J. Blanchard and his wife Patricia of Dartmouth, Paul C. Blanchard of Lake Oswego, OR, and Timothy R. Blanchard and his wife Amy of New Bedford; a sister, Claire Ryan of Cape Cod; five grandchildren, Britney Provo and her husband Andrew, John, Isabelle, Marie, and Kyle Blanchard; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Lt. Joseph J. Vincent.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 AM at St. Julie Billiart Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 4-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
