Albert D. Bucknam Jr

LEXINGTON, MA - Albert D. Bucknam Jr., age 67, a former Tewksbury resident, diedunexpectedly at his home in Lexington on Monday, Nov. 17. He was the husband of Carol A.(Huggan) Bucknam of Tewksbury.
He was born in Everett, Feb. 8, 1936, the only child of Albert D. and Eva (Newton) Bucknam. He was raised in Revere, and graduated Revere High School.
He enlisted into the Army during the Korean War, and served in Okinawa, Japan.
Upon discharge from the Army, he worked for several area firms including Corenco, Nissen’sBakery and Hood’s Dairy as a driver. In his earlier years, he had also worked at the FederalReserve in Boston, and part time at Wonderland, Suffolk Downs, and Rockingham race tracks.
He was active in Tewksbury youth sports as a coach of both baseball and ice hockey, and also asan umpire for baseball.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, David P. and his wife Susan (Halamoutis) Bucknamof Pembroke Pines, Fla., and Steven J. Bucknam of Lawrence; five grandchildren, Nicole,Michael, Brittany, Matthew, and Grace; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces andnephews.
His funeral was held Friday, Nov. 21. Interment was in theVeteran’s Section of Tewksbury Cemetery.
