Elsie (Leonard) Cosmos, 79, of Dartmouth died July 31, 2010 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Franklin H. Cosmos.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Manuel Leonardo and Sophie (Moniz) Leonardo-Perry, she lived in Dartmouth all of her life.
Mrs. Cosmos was formerly employed by Sears for 20 years until her retirement.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to the beach.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Kathleen Roberts and her husband Scott of Monument Beach and Laurie Cosmos-Roberts and her husband Jeff of Fairhaven; 2 sisters, Gertrude Sliwa of Dartmouth and Nancy Macaruso of Cranston, RI; a cousin, Seraphin Silva of Marshfield; 4 grandchildren, Barret Roberts, Tanya Roberts, Bridgett Roberts and Angelique Roberts; 4 great-grandchildren, Elijah, Jakob, Emma and Samantha; several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Gary Cosmos.
Her family will receive guests on Saturday morning, August 7th from 10 AM - 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford followed by her Funeral Service at 11 AM in the Funeral Home. All are invited to Elsie's home at 400 Russells Mills Rd. Dartmouth following her service. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Community Nurse and Hospice Care, P.O.
