Sheila Claire Baggett, 68, Clarksville, died Sunday, August 1, 2010, at her home after a long battle with breast cancer.. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Ken Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Baggett Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born December 28, 1941 in Lincoln, Maine, daughter of the late Charles Clair and Ruth Dow Clair. She went to Mattanacook Academy and graduated from nursing from Eastern Maine General Hospital, now known as Maine Medical Center in Bangor, Maine in 1963. She lived most of her life in Clarksville, TN where she was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Christian Womens Club, the Red Hat Society and was very active with the American Cancer Society. Sheila retired after 32 years from Gateway Medical Center, formerly Clarksville Memorial Hospital, where she was the director of Infection Control and Employee Health. She was a member of Erin United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Albert S. Baggett; daughter Lisa Vaughan (Bobby), Clarksville; two brothers, Charles Clair, Ocala, Florida and Jerome Clair, Calistoga, CA; two grandsons, Justin and Christopher Sensing; four step-grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
