Genevieve “Gynett” Renee Andree (Gasselin) Raymond, 70 years, of Brockton, formerly of Easton died Saturday, July 31, 2010. She was the wife of the late Robert C. Raymond. Born and raised in Bourges, France, she came to the United States in 1960. Gynett received an Associates of Science Degree in Business Administration from Massasoit Community College, and had been employed as an Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Real Estate at Cumberland Farms, Inc. for over 21 years. Gynett was a long time member of the Brockton Assembly of God and the Church on the Rock in Brockton, where she was involved with the prison and spiritual care ministries. She was also involved with the Spiritual Care Department of Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center. She had a strong love for Jesus Christ, church, ministering, and family, and also enjoyed biking, walking, knitting and crocheting.
She is survived by her children, Carline D. Emery and her husband Jackson; Jill A. Riendeau and her husband Bryan; Robert S. and his wife Marie Zambello, John C. and Brent C., Raymond; her grandchildren Kelly, Sean, Adam, Benjamin, Caitlyn, Holly, Ashley, Robert, and Joseph; and great grandchildren Camryn and Ezekiel.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday 4-7pm. A Funeral Service will be held at The Brockton Foursquare Church The Church on the Rock, 421 Torrey St., Brockton on Wednesday at 10am followed by burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:45pm. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Gynett may be made to the VNA of Cape Cod Hospice, 434 Route 134, So. Dennis, MA 02660.
