Violet (Hoare) Moy, 94, of Attleboro formerly of Pawtucket, RI and Foxboro passed away peacefully on Saturday July 31, 2010 at the Golden Living Center Ridgewood Court Nursing Home in Attleboro. She was the wife of the late William Moy and the late Charles L. McCarthy.
Born in Winthrop, MA on February 15, 1916 she was a daughter of the late Frederick H. and Alice (Ward) Hoare.
A 1935 graduate of Foxboro High School Violet was a retired Collator having worked at the Foxboro Co. in Foxboro for 20 years prior to retiring in 1971.
Violet loved to play whist with her friends, was an avid reader and especially enjoyed spending time in the presence of her adoring family. She had made her home in Attleboro for the past 14 years and was a former resident of Pawtucket, RI and Foxboro.
She is survived by her devoted daughter Patricia A. Salisbury and her husband Thomas of Attleboro. She was the cherished grandmother of Thomas J. Salisbury of Attleboro and the dear aunt of Deborah Peck of Hollywood, Florida, Janice Keller of Illinois, Barbara Texeira of Warwick, RI and the late Dorothy Smith. Violet was the loving twin sister of the late Lily Leveillee.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of her family at the Spring Brook Cemetery in Mansfield.
