Laconia-----Virginia M. DuBois, 94, died at the Belknap County Nursing Home on Saturday July 31, 2010.
She was born in Barre, Vermont on May 29, 1916 daughter of Chester Bennett and Mabel (Cook) Bennett.
Ginny was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid reader and always enjoyed time with her family and friends. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Laconia, N.H. and was also a member of the St. Joseph Ladies Guild and Catholic Daughters of America.
She was predeceased by her husband, Sylvio J. DuBois, and a grandson, Greg C. DuBois.
She is survived by four children: Sylvia Martin and husband, Boyd, of Braintree, Massachusetts, Robert DuBois and his wife, Leslie, of Laconia, New Hampshire, Charles DuBois and his wife, Charlotte ,of Canterbury, New Hampshire and Paul DuBois and his wife, Mary, of Lakeport, New Hampshire along with six grandchildren: Woody Martin, Scott Martin, Lisa Shaw, Michael DuBois, Cynthia Reid, and Jon Paul DuBois and eleven great-grandchildren: Ashley Martin, Zachary Martin, Joshua Martin, Daniele Martin, Lauren Martin, Dylan Martin, Ian Shaw, Kaitlyn Shaw, Colin Shaw, Megan Reid and Tyler Reid.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 10 AM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield St., Laconia.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Belknap County Nursing Home Activities Fund 30 County Drive Laconia, NH 03246.
