Obituary

Willard G. “Bill” Milbury, 82, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010 following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Rae (Pelletier) Milbury, with whom he shared over sixty years of marriage.
Born in Danvers on June 15, 1928, he was the son of the late Raymond and Alice Milbury. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Holten High School, Class of 1947, where he was an accomplished football standout.
A lifelong resident of Danvers, Bill was co-founder of Pelletier and Milbury and worked in the construction business for over fifty years.
A charter member of the Danvers Touchdown Club, he was an avid sports fan. He was a loving and dedicated grandfather and enjoyed traveling with his wife.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Scott Milbury and his wife Cindy, Chris Willard Milbury, and Barry Milbury and his fiancée Pamela Kantor, all of Danvers, his sisters, Ruth Pydynkowski of Danvers, Sal O’Donal and her husband Royce of Maine, and Rae O’Donal of Florida, six grandchildren, Scott, Sans, Jillian, Alana, and Weston Milbury, and Kara Haibon, and 5 great-grandchildren.
His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10AM in the Maple Street Congregational Church, 80 Maple St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, West Peabody. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Monday from 4-8PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the Danvers People-to-People Food Pantry, PO Box 2076, Danvers, MA 01923.
