SALEM, NH - John F. Gearin 83 of Salem, NH formerly of Atkinson, NH, died Tuesday July 27, 2010 at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH.
Born and educated in Lawrence, MA he was the son of John F. and Mary E. (Terry) Gearin and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School with the Class of 1944. He was a member of the Central Catholic Athletic Board where he enjoyed attending all the schools games. During World War II and Korean Conflict he served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged. For more than 30 years John was a production analyst with Western Electric, formerly Lucent Technologies in North Andover, MA.
The widower of Marion A. (Monty) Gearin, he is survived by his children Maureen G. Asmega and her husband Richard of Salem, NH and Kevin C. Gearin and his wife Nina of Hermosa Beach, CA.
One sister Irene Murry and her husband Frank of Dracut, MA.
Grandchildren Sara Asmega, Lauren Asmega, Allison Asmega and Jillian Gearin
John also leaves his special friend Linda Burnett of Salem, NH
Several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Sunday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30a.m. at Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem, NH with burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
