Wanda W. Grizzaffi
Wanda W. Grizzaffi, 88, of PorCharlotte, Fla., passed away Monday, July 26, 2010 at Peace River Regional Medical Center, in Port Charlotte, Fla., with her family by her side.
She was born July 8, 1922 in Bronx, New York to Alfred H. Pagels and Veronica Pagels and moved to this area in 1974.
Wanda was a homemaker who loved life and everyone around her, she enjoyed sewing, playing games, and reading. She was an active member of Holy Trinity Luthern Chuch for 30 years where she belonged to the Esther Circle. Wanda also enjoyed spending time with her three great-grandaughters whom she baby sat.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Michels of Port Charlotte; son, Joseph Grizzaffi of Port Charlotte; brother, Alfred (Carol) Pagels of Port Charlotte; sister, Norma Skavinsky of Summerfield, Fla. ; two grandchildren, Kathleen (James) Potts, and Joseph Grizzaffi; and three great-grandchildren Kamdyn Michels, Kelsie Michels, and Savannah Granger. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband of 41 years Raymond P. Grizzaffi.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday August 2, 2010 at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 9400 Indian Springs Cemetary Rd., Punta Gorda. Viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with service to follow.
