James H. Hall, 73, Jacksonville, Florida, died Monday, November 17, 2003, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Friday, November 21, 2003 in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, Jacksonville, Florida Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald, Georgia at 4:00 PM on Friday. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Hall was born January 30, 1930 in Waycross, Georgia to the late Ernest L. & Carrie Woodhouse Hall. He was a 1947 graduate of Fitzgerald High School and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and served in the 31st Fighter Wing, Fox Peter One Unit. Mr. Hall retired from G.M.-Detroit Diesel Division and Leaseway Corp. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Rick Peterson’s Sunday School Class, Downtown Kiwanis Club, Southside Businessmen’s Club, Inland Beach Blvd. Lions Club, 32nd Degree Mason, Masonic Lodge # 591 F. & A.M. in Albany, GA, Scottish Rites Bodies, Morocco Temple, Cartoon Capers Shrine Unit as Albert the Alligator, Crippled Children Committee, and a Charter member of the Arlington Shrine Club.
Mr. Hall is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Edith Sheffield Hall, two daughters, Elizabeth (Bonnie) Moore, husband Tony and Pamela D. Crawford, all of Jacksonville, FL., son-in-law, Edward C. Crawford, brother, Dan Hall, Brunswick, GA, two sisters, Ruth Burkett, Fitzgerald, GA and Carrie Lumpkin, Savannah, TN, three grandchildren, Victoria Beard, husband, Christopher and their son, Chance, Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Alexandra Thornton, Jacksonville, FL and Corey Crawford, Evans, GA
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Jacksonville Senior Citizen Building Fund.
