Edith "Edie" (Paul) Burgo, 94, of LaVergne, TN formerly of New Bedford died July 27, 2010 at Trevecca Health Care Center in Nashville, TN.
She was the wife of the late Joaquim J. "Jack" Burgo.
Born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Manuel and Sarah M. (Rogers) Paul, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life before moving to Tennessee in 2007.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth J. Burgo of LaVergne, TN; a daughter, Kathleen Barrows of Hyannis; a sister, Dorothy Joseph of New Bedford; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Oliver Barrows, Clarence Paul, Robert Paul, David Barrows, May Smith and Ena Collettimondo.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 31st at 9 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday, July 30th from 6-8 PM.
