Jeffrey Peter Clavin, 48, formerly of New Bedford, died April 19, 2010 after a brief courageous battle with lymphoma. He was the son of Carroll Peter and Roberta (McHugh) Clavin of New Bedford.
Jeffrey was a graduate of New Bedford High School, Class of 1980 and the University of Vermont, Class of 1984.
He worked for many years at the Marriott Hotel in San Francisco. He was presently employed as the Chief Concierge at the International Hotel in San Francisco. He was a member of Les Clef d'or U.S.A.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his nephew Eric Clavin, his sister-in-law, Joan Souto, his niece Katie Souto, his great-niece Mya Souto, his aunts, Patricia Rochford of Barrington, RI and Mary Clavin of Apple Valley, CA, and many cousins.
He was the brother of the late Robert Clavin, and the grandson of the late Brigadier General Charles and Mildred Clavin and the late Robert and Margaret McHugh.
A private family committal service was held on Wednesday at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 247 North St., New Bedford, MA 02740. Arrangements were by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
