Imogene “Jean” Delk Baldree, 79, of Tifton died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2010, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Eddie Hutcheson will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. Mike Delk, Joel Delk, Dale Delk, Josh Baldree, Justin Baldree and Tim Baldree will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Bryant Baldree. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 29, 2010, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The family will be at the home of R. B. and Lucile Delk at 1222 North Ridge Avenue in Tifton.
Mrs. Baldree was born on October 10, 1930 in Clinch County and was the daughter of Bryant Delk and Myrtle Hurst Delk, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Baldree, who died in 2003; and one brother, Clarence Delk. She was a homemaker and a member of Fourth Street Baptist Church. She had lived in Tift County for 54 years.
Mrs. Baldree is survived by one son, Steven E. Baldree of Fitzgerald; one daughter, Wanda Roberts of Alabama; one brother and sister-in-law, R. B. and Lucile Delk of Tifton; one sister, Wanda Nevieau of Tifton; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
