Lawrence: Mrs. Rita R. (Beliveau) Matthes, 79, died Sunday at the Holy Family Hospital. Born in Lawrence, Mrs. Matthes had been an area resident all of her life. She had been employed at the Ludington Footwear Co. And retired from Western Electric in North Andover. She had graduated from St. Anne grammar school and high school. Mrs. Matthes had been a member of the former St. Anne and Sacred Heart Parishes and was a parishioner of Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church. The widow of William J. Matthes, Sr., she is survived by:

A Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 am, at Holy Rosary Church. Entombment will follow at the St. Mary - Immaculate Conception Mausoleum. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, at the Racicot Funeral Home, 256 Broadway, Lawrence.
