George Geotis, 73, of North Port, FL.,formerly of Dudley passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, July 18, 2010.
He leaves his wife of 52 years, Patricia (Rock) Geotis, two sons, Paul D. Geotis and his wife Ramona of Woodstock,CT., and Peter J. Geotis and his partner Michael LaChance of Salem,N.H., two grandchildren, Joseph Geotis and Sarah Gottlieb, one great grandchild, Valentina Geotis, two sisters, Magdalene Bandouveres of Burlington,MA., and Irene Kiritsis of Tampa, FLA., and one sister-in-law, Terri Rock of Beverly Hills, FLA.
George was born in Dudley son of Joseph V. and Athena Geotis and lived in Dudley most of his life, prior to moving to Florida.
George owned Dudley Lincoln-Mercury in Dudley and received numerous awards and acolades from Ford Motor Co.Including several President Awards. He was well respected by his peers within the business and dealership community.
He was a life long member of Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Webster and in the Greek Orthodox Church in Florida.
He was a member of the Webster Lodge of Masons and Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
He was also an avid golfer and sports fan.
He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He will be missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing him.
There are no calling hours.
Burial will be Private in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Webster.
A Memorial Service will be held at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 35 Lake Parkway on Saturday August 21, 2010 at 11 AM.
