RUSSELL D. MITCHELL, 66, of Weymouth, formerly of Hingham, died on Saturday, July 24th, 2010 at home after a long illness with his family by his side. Mr. Mitchell was born in Brockton and was raised and educated in Hingham, graduating from Hingham High School. He served with the U.S. Navy during Vietnam, was a local automobile salesman and co-owner of Hingham Video. He was a devoted family man and grandfather with a love of photography, sports and his dog 'Madison.'
He was the husband of Debra (Conboy) Mitchell and father of Michelle Sweeney and her husband Larry of Marshfield, Kelley Cyr and her husband Scott of Hingham and Danielle Symonds and her husband Matt of Weymouth. Grandfather of Elisabeth, Kelsey, Bennett, Camden, Emma and Jack.
A Memorial Service will be conducted on Friday, July 30th at 11 AM at the First Baptist Church, 85 Main St., Hingham. Visiting hours and flowers omitted by request.
