Obituary



John”Frankie” DiRenzo, 90, a longtime resident of Whitman, entered into rest on Friday July 23rd at his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Angelina (Lenoci) DiRenzo.

John was born and brought up in Brockton, son of the late Michael and Theresa (DiRenzo) DiRenzo. He grew up in the same neighborhood and was a friend to the late Rocky GMarciano

He was a veteran of the United States Army during WWII and served in the American Theater, European African and the Middle Eastern Campaign. He received the following medals during World War II, American Service, European-Africa-Middle East, World War II, Expert Pistol Sharpshooter,M2 Carbine. He also served as an Ambulance driver and Infantryman.

John was an automobile mechanic for many years before his retirement. His hobbies included, dancing, vacations to Miami, Florida with friends, gardening, and home and auto repairs.

In addition to his loving wife Angelina, he leaves his beloved daughter Patricia Ann DiRenzo of Whitman, his loving granddaughter Paula Thibeault and her husband Jeffrey of Brockton and his 2 great grandsons Christopher and Cameron; also many nieces , nephews and close friends

His memorial service will be held on July 27th at 11:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service from 10:00-11:00.In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the Homeless Veterans Boston, 17 Court St., Boston, MA 02108
