Marion F. "Fran" (Levine) Morris, a longtime resident of Charlestown, died on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Life Care Nursing Home in Stoneham following an extended illness. She was 93 years old.
Fran was born in Boston on May 29, 1917 to the late Samuel S. and Harriet F. (Roycroft) Levine. She grew up in Boston and attended Boston Public Schools. Fran has been a homemaker most of her adult life. Fran was a member of The Old Charlestown Schoolgirls Association and The Everett Lodge of Moose.
Fran is the beloved wife of 73 years to Raymond E. Morris. She is the devoted mother of Harriet O'Donnell and her husband Philip of Medford, Janet Woods of Charlestown, Roberta Freeman of Revere, Raymond E. Morris Jr. and his wife Judi of Florida, Samuel A. Morris and his wife Marina of Charlestown and Philip Morris and his wife Carol of Brighton. She is the loving grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. she is the beloved sister of Hazel Venuti of Florida, Helen DiDiego of Charlestown and the late Harry Levine, Herbert Levine, Ruthie Power, Lillian Morgan and Eddie Levine.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Fran's Funeral on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m.
