Obituary

Virginia M. (Jellison) Robinson, 69 of Franklin died July 22 in her home following a long illness; she was the wife of the late Richard R. Robinson who died in 1999.
Born in Somerville, February 21, 1941, the daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Carlin) Jellison, Mrs. Robinson was raised in Somerville and had lived in Franklin for the past 43 years.
In 1983 Mrs. Robinson began working at the Hockomock YMCA in North Attleboro.
She then went on to work for the Boston YMCA and later ended her long and dedicated career with the Greater YMCA of the USA as a Leadership Development Consultant.
Mrs. Robinson was awarded several awards from the YMCA during her years for her important contributions to the Y.
Virginia enjoyed music, reading, helping people but the love of her life was her family.
She is survived by her children, Richard and Charles Robinson of Franklin, Steven Robinson of North Attleboro and Ellyn Robinson of Hanover.
She was the sister of the late Robert Jellison.
She is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
Visitation will be in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin on Monday from 5-8 p.m.
Services will be private with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Franklin.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Milford VNA and Hospice, 37 Birch St., Milford, MA 01757.
