Caroline (Everett ) Cento, 78 of East Walpole died July 22 in Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston; she was the wife of Robert A. Cento.
Born in Norwood, April 21, 1932, the daughter of the late Willard and Eleanor (Holmes) Everett, Mrs. Cento was a lifelong Walpole resident.
Mrs. Cento was a 1954 graduate of Pembroke College, Brown University.
Caroline was an avid quilter, gardener, and sports fan. She enjoyed cooking and took an active interest in genealogy. In her last years, she completed writing a comprehensive family history dating back over 400 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Robert Cento and his wife Linda of Norwood, Peter Cento of Greenbelt, MD, Daniel Cento and his wife Carmen of Bowie, MD, John Cento of Framingham, and Carrie Cento and her partner, Tish Peterson of Eugene, OR.
She was the cherished grandmother of Bobby, Benny, Everett, Diane, and Stephanie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday, July 26 in the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main St. in Walpole at 1:00 p.m.
Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Walpole.
Visitation will be on Monday from 11:00-1:00 p.m.
