Anneliese L. Smith, 83, of Day Street died Thursday,July 22, 2010 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. She was the wife of the late Warren W. Smith.
Born in Paderborn, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Friedrich K. and Sophie (Offerman) Stormberg. She had been a resident of Johnston for the past 43 years.
Mrs. Smith worked for the former Cal’s Jewelry for more than 20 years until her retirement. She was the beloved mother of Anneliese K. “Lisa” Loffler and her husband James, of North Providence, and loving grandmother of Nicholas.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:30 from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation Monday 8:30-9:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
