Obituary

Mr. Kenneth W. Hill, a 20 year resident of Williston, Vermont, formerly of Andover and beloved husband of Carol (Bitler) Hill, passed away with his family by his side, after a brief battle with cancer. He was 73 years old.
Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on November 1, 1936, he was the beloved son of the late Nathaniel J. and Nora (Sullivan) Hill. Mr. Hill was a career veteran, entering the Navy on December 10, 1953. He served in the Navy until receiving his honorable discharge in Lawrence on February 5, 1956. Mr. Hill then enlisted in the Air Force and continued his service until December 9, 1983. He was warded 2 AF Commendation Medals, the AF Outstanding Unit Award, AF Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal with 5 Oakleaf Clusters and the AF Longevity Service Medal with 5 Oakleaf Clusters.
In civilian life, Kenneth worked as a Security Administrator, for many years.
Besides his beloved wife, Carol, he will be sorely missed by three sons and one daughter-in-law; Donald and his wife Janice Hill of Peabody, Scott Hill and his fiance, Carolyn Eaton of Lynn and Tim Hill of Williston, VT, five grandchildren; Jennifer, Matthew, Nicholas, Ashley and Nathan Hill, two brothers-in-law; Paul and his wife Doris Bitler of Methuen and David and his wife Caroline Bitler of Panton, VT. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Thursday, July 22, 2010, from 4 to 8 PM. Relatives and friends attended a gathering at the funeral home on Friday, July 23, 2010, at 9 AM and processed to Spring Grove Cemetery, Andover, for a graveside service.
